Sheesh...I'm looking around here at the state of the planet and I am just thunderstruck ...is anyone else?
No need to wait for the other shoe to drop because shoes are raining down like cats and dogs!
Entire countries in upheaval, wild weather, earthquakes, economies going belly-up....you get the picture.
The evening news looks like one of those bad disaster movies!
Makes me wonder what kind of a future my grandchildren are going to have.

I so appreciated your thoughts here and in the previous post. I haven't written about politics and things like this for a while but like you, I dig deeper for the rest of the story. Sadly, people in general just don't want to hear it. I guess they think it will just go away if they don't look or don't know the truth.

Everyday I go to work and listen to the news and wonder what is happening to this world. We have unrest everywhere. It is so upsetting that I just try and tune out some of the horrible stories. I feel like I have a broken heart most time because of all this turmoil. It has made me feel depressed and sad. I guess I have to just try and tune it out completely for a couple of days so I can get my mojo back. We have it very good here but my heartache is felt for the others less fortunate. If we forget about them who will help them?
It's pretty bad, isn't it...which is a big understatement.
I'm looking out my window at the sunset; the orange horizontal line behind the silhouette of tall trees in my back yard. It's hard to fathom the condition of this world behind such beauty.
I hope and pray that it "will" be here for the next generations.
Definitely scary stuff. I get a knot in my stomach everytime the news comes on. I used to be a news freak, had CNN, BBC, etc on nearly 24/7, but now, I just can't stand it. So many horrible things happening around the world, so much suffering. I make myself watch for 30 min a day, just to stay informed, but I can't take any more than that. (the verification for my comment is "mundo"!)

Thank you for not mincing words, but going straight to the point.
The Bible is quite clear on this: God will bless those who bless Israel, God will curse those who curse Israel.
The nations of the world will be judge at the last days for being for or against this important nation.
So, it is important for us to know the heart of God as we are obviously nearing the end. We would all do well to pay attention to the events unfolding before our very eyes... and above all, make sure we are on the right side of the end-time battle.
The war has been won by the death of Jesus on the cross... the son of God who came in human form AS A JEW. There is an eternal reason for this... the victory has been won by Jesus' selfless act.
But the battle of all battles, will be a determining factor, a spiritual sift that will reveal who are on the Lord's side, and those who are not.
This is not religious gibberish - it will determine our eternal destiny... and yes, that is scary, but only if we are not on the winning side!
Blessings on you dear Connie as you prepare to leave Saipan. I keep you in my thoughts and prayer. You are a brave voice... and I have a sense that God is purifying you for a bigger assignment for His kingdom in this new season of your life.

Ladies, I am grateful for your comments. With all that is happening on this planet at the moment I think that those of us who have courage need to speak up for the truth. I have friends who would prefer not to talk about this...it's "uncomfortable" and besides....we all want to be politically correct...don't we? Don't want to bash anyone-heavens no! Well..I think it's high time we open our eyes to the fact that THEY want to KILL us. This is something they have said openly. I'm not inciting hatred for them...on the contrary. But- from what I have seen....many of them are too far gone in their thinking to be salvaged. Some are crossing over to the side of peace....but not enough of them. May we seek wisdom for the uncertain future that lies ahead.
The signs are all around us .. and very clear. Stay safe.
